Apples and Apple Juice

We have a small collection of heritage dessert and cooking apple trees, perfect for eating and culinary uses.  In years of a glut we turn them into crisp apple juice so we can enjoy our produce all year round.






Our blend starts with the very best apple for juicing, the Ashmead Kernel.  We add a little body to the mix by adding Rosemary Russett.  We like a little crisp tartness with our juice, so we include a little Lord Derby.  Finally, Sweetness is gained by introducing Red Pippin.  The end result is a gorgeous blend with just the right balance of crispness and sweetness.  


We can thoroughly recommend pouring some of our apple juice over some vodka and ice then finishing it with a twist of apple peel to make what we call a "Somerset Screwdriver".
